Western European companies are under dual pressure when it comes to their IT projects — namely the need to lower cost of implementation while at the same time accessing high-level skills that are in scarce supply. One of the ways of alleviating this is by enhancing sourcing options by working with service providers that can deliver on both needs at the same time.

The breadth and depth of sourcing options have expanded greatly over the last few years from the initial pure labor arbitrage. With the range of options available, enterprises should carefully consider their project needs before deciding on service provider, sourcing option, and, indeed, sourcing location.

While India has long been the best-known location, Spanish services companies show a range of qualities that makes Spain also worth consideration as a sourcing location.
